Maestro from Pompei
A few years ago, I planned a great trip to Italy with lots of help from the discussion board at www.fodors.com. This included a visit to the historical city of Pompei. It was so much more than I expected. For those who have not visited Pompei before, unfortunately, there are many homeless dogs. The day I visited with my family, we were greeted by this adorable dog literally near the entrance. It was as if he was waiting there for us, I named him "Maestro" which means "teacher" in italian. Maestro guided us through Pompei the entire day, it was as if he was part of the family. I entered this photo of him in a Conde Nast Traveler Magazine Contest, please vote for him by going to the link below - thank you!

That's one cranky website. It wouldn't open for me.
Anyway, good luck. |
So sorry you had trouble accessing the link - here it is again

He's adorable! ((&)) He reminds me of the Athens' riot dog. All you have to do to vote is "like" the photo, right? Done.
Good luck with the contest! |
Thanks Apres! He is adorable!
