Madrid on Sunday, What to do? San Ysidiro ongoning on 5/19?

First timers in Madrid wanting to do sunday right. Thought maybe the rastro market and possibly some of the bar restaurants in that area.
Where to do lunch, I understand Sunday is a traditional lunch/family day or leisure and enjoyment, we'd like to take part.
Will San Ysidiro festivities still be going, and if so, where should we go? thanks!!

For me a favorite thing to do in Madrid on a Sunday (when weather is good) is go to Retiro Park. Enjoy!

Retiro is full of families on Sunday
All museums are open
Even a number of stores are open

Thanks for the replies, yes if the weather is nice Retiro park will be on our list!
I know many restaurants are closed for dinner, is Sunday a day for special lunches etc. Wondering if there are some particular restaurants or meals that we should partake in?

Last year on a Sunday night we went for dinner at Casa Lucio, in Cava Baja street. Its a very traditional type restaurant, we really enjoyed it. I believe its also open for Sunday lunch.
