Madrid hotel question, radisson blu prado

We are in the process of figuring out our Christmas trip this year. We have booked an apartment in Seville for a week and are looking at staying at the Radisson Blu for 4 nights during Christmas.
Two questions: does anyone have insight to this hotel? we would get a single room and a room with a balcony for the space.
Can anyone advise me on traveling on Christmas Day from Madrid to Seville? Do the trains run regularly or is there a holiday slow down? I would love some recommendations for Christmas Eve service in madrid. thanks!

Sadly, I'm not a big fan of the Radisson Blu in Madrid, unless you book a superior room or better. The NH Palacio de Tepa, just off Plaza Santa Ana, is a much nicer property for the money.

You'll have no problem taking the train. The schedule will be up at least 90 days in advance so you can purchase your tickets.

Christmas Eve services will be available at every church in the city, you're biggest problem will be reservations for dinner on Christmas Eve. Plan ahead.

I stayed at the Radisson Blu last year for a couple of days. The location is fantastic, and the hotel itself is very nice. The room was very quiet. I am sure you can get more input by visiting the booking.com or trip advisor reviews for this hotel as well.

Thank you so much! I am going to start looking for Places to eat dinner. I will check out the palacio de tepa and compare the two. Robert, I took your advice with the location and place in Seville - thanks

For dinner or lunch recommendations, check Maribel's Madrid Dining Guide to see what she recommends.

A couple of places we really like are a short walk from the Radisson Blu, in the Salamanca district. One of the tops recommendations would be Álbora on Jorge Juan (www.restaurantealbora.com). The food and service are hard to beat! Another favorite is Restaurante MEATing (http://restaurantemeating.com), if you like a great cut of meat. And of course, it's Navarran. But then we also like Sidrería Carlos Tartiere (www.restaurantecarlostartiere.com), a great Asturian Cider House at Calle Menorca, 35, in the Retiro.
