Check in to Hotel Wellington

Day Six - Madrid sights

Day Seven - Day trip to Toledo

Day Eight - More Madrid

Day Nine - Day trip to Segovia

Have you been to Barcelona before? You only seem to by spending a day and a half there. It's a great city. We were there a week, and never ran out of things to do. I'd consider skipping one of your day trips and spending more time in Barcelona.

The Majestic is in between 2 of Gaudi's finest, Casa Batlló and Casa Milà (La Pedrera). Be sure to tour each of them, and see the Sagrada Familia as well.

You should print out the Barcelona and Madrid guides on www.maribelsguides.com. Lots of great information.

I agree with MFYC re Barcelona...great city with a lot to see. I would forget Montserrat .

R u suggesting OP forget Montserrat because of the time limitations? We will be in Barcelona for 5 days for the 2nd time and that was one of the sites we thought might be worth visiting.

I agree that the OP doesn't have much time for Barcelona.

To answer your question about Montserrat; NO you do not need to buy your tickets in advance. Also, Montserrat should be visited on a clear day. See my post here regarding montserrat tickets: http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...omment-6076738

yes, I said it because of a short time .
There so much to see in Barcelona that a day trip in OP's case
would not be my advice.
