Madrid Airport Transfer

I plan on flying from Bordeaux to Barcelona, to do so I have to transfer in Madrid (unless I pay a fortune on Air France). Does anyone have an opinion on whether 1:45 hr sufficient time to transfer flights in Madrid? It looks as though both flights will be in Terminal 4. Thanks.

All I can tell you is that I have had quite a few connections a bit tighter than that in MAD and have made them every time, albeit in a very anxious state. But mine were not in the same terminal, so you have a much better chance of a calm connection, as long as the arriving flight is on time!

Thanks ekscrunchy.

Barajas is a huge airport, but extremely efficient. Staying in T4 you should have no problem making a 1:45 connection. I don't think I have ever had a connection time that large. Always involved a lot of walking but that was followed by a lot of sitting at the departing gate.

As long as the connection is on the same ticket, and you have your boarding pass in hand, there shouldn't be a problem.

Thank Aramis and Robert, yes it will be the same ticket. I thought there would be no problem assuming no extreme flight delays or cancellation--things over which we have no control--but good to have that confirmed.
