Madrid airport to Toledo
 

Any idea what the fastest way is to get to Toledo from the Madrid airport? We are traveling with another couple, flying into Madrid around noon on a Friday in October.

Bringing your question back up "to the top" - - lest it might never get an answer! (and hoping you can find it!)

consider this.. by the time you taxi.. (25 euros to atocha , and take/wait/buy tickets for a train to toledo, take the train, and now get another taxi to hotel, you could have been there long before and enjoying the place (which is also valuable!)

take a taxi from airport. last time friends did this it was near 80 euros but with the price of gas, might have gone up considerably.

i wouldn't doubt it since there are four of you.

if i can find out for you if there is a fixed price for toledo from airport i will post it.

Will you be renting a car, meli? My husband and I picked our rental at the Madrid airport, and drove to Toledo in about an hour. The drive was quite easy, although perhaps parking is another story.

Thanks for the tip on aerocity - they quoted me Euro 150 (near as make no difference and that does include IVA at 7%)for 5 people and luggage in their basic minivan - all the other places on the net that I found were quoting almost twice that amount - although maybe for something a bit grander!

I am now back from Toledo with this news: a new high speed train link between Madrid and Toledo is being built - so next year the train journey will take 20 minutes,this year in June 2005 on the way back from Toledo to Madrid it took almost 2 hours (and a bus) because of the track works - so it is worth checking with www.renfe.es to see the current position.(Use the Spanish version if the English translation won't let you see far enough ahead)

We were quoted 30 euros for a single taxi from Toldeo to Madrid, by the local Toledo taxi company.

It took 50 minutes by minibus/ people mover to get from Madrid to Toledo at 10.30 in the morning.
