Madrid airport to Plaza Mayor

There are 6 of us flying into Madrid and staying in Plaza Mayor. How do you recommend we travel to our appartmemt from the airport? Gracias 😊

There were flat rate taxis when I was there is 2014. With 6 people, a shuttle company might be cheaper than 2 taxis. I'm searching for the company I hired who didn't show up because they had the wrong day! There are quite a few shuttle services--just remind them if your flight is an overnight one! Can anyone help?

As mentioned you would need two taxis, 30 euros each, or if you can, find a shuttle company with a van
or
You can take a bus to Atocha train station, metro from there to Sol, and walk a bit to Plaza Mayor.

Thanks all. Can you just pick up a taxi or shuttle at the airport or do you have to book?

Taxi or shuttle service

Taxis will be waiting at the taxi stand as you leave the arrivals terminal. As noted, the fee is a flat fare of 30€/taxi. You will require two taxis. A shuttle has to be reserved in advance. With six people, the charge from Aero City should be around 40€ for up to 6 passengers.

I've used Aero City, they did a good job.
