Is it difficult to take a train from the airport to Madrid center? My husband and I will each have 1 valise. I believe we have to change trains. Thank you.

I assume you mean the metro? If you post what's your final destination I'm sure somebody can chime in to instruct you what metro line and changes to make. I was staying near Plaza Santa Ana in Madrid and had to change twice. How big is your suitcase? A Carry-on? I wouldn't advise doing it with anything bigger that a carry on and I would advise against carrying a purse if you do this with a suitcase.

The new Airport Express bus will take you directly to the city center for €2 pP.
The bus calls at Plaza Cibeles and terminates at Atocha station, appr. 1/2km north or south of the Prado respectively.
