Made a :( :( on my trip

So I'm set to go to Paris for 7days, and then London for 7 days then back to Paris for my flight at, guess what at 4AM. Is there transport that could get me to Paris' CDG at 3:30am or should I just sleep at the airport? And where exactly should I sleep? :) I can't afford to miss my flight back home.

Sethati79 Nov 12th, 2012 04:20 AM

Forgot to mention that I can get the Eurostar or the bus but they only get there at 11pm. After that I'm on my own.

http://degaulle.airporthotelguide.com/ And you need to get to the airport well before 3:30 am.

quokka Nov 12th, 2012 04:58 AM

If your flight departs at 4 a.m. you have to be at the airport by 2 a.m., if it's a flight to the US even ealier. Not much chance to catch any sleep, and not worth a hotel room. I'd take that 11 p.m. bus, grab some food and drink at the airport and just rest there until check-in opens.

Sethati79 Nov 12th, 2012 05:03 AM

No sorry meant to say that my flight departs at 6am but I need to be at the airport at 4am. Thanks

kerouac Nov 12th, 2012 05:14 AM

Your flight is not going to the U.S. then. Where is it going?

lincasanova Nov 12th, 2012 05:14 AM

I woud be crossing my fingers on an 11 pm bus.. anything could happen. So.. if it were myself. I'd go into Paris earlier, enjoy the extra time someplace if I really had it, get a cheap room at CDG, and be done with it.

Try Priceline bidding.

bilboburgler Nov 12th, 2012 05:16 AM

you need to find a party in Paris and then catch a late night bus out to CDG

Sethati79 Nov 12th, 2012 05:44 AM

I'm going to South Africa. Thanks

Sethati79 Nov 12th, 2012 05:50 AM

Which bus is best from London to Paris? Thanks again

ParisAmsterdam Nov 12th, 2012 06:03 AM

If you miss your flight to South Africa what will a walk up ticket cost you? In the thousands of dollars I'd guess. In that case get to Paris by early evening at the latest. You can crash out for a few hours at the Ibis at CDG... or try Priceline as suggested above...

Mimar Nov 12th, 2012 06:17 AM

Could you change your plane ticket to fly out of London? Might be worth whatever it costs to change. You'd save the expense of the trip back to Paris. And you'd have a pleasanter end to your trip.

kerouac Nov 12th, 2012 06:55 AM

Is it a charter flight to South Africa? The regularly scheduled flights leave at 23:20.

<<Which bus is best from London to Paris? Thanks again>>

There are no amphibious buses that cross the Channel.

Bilbo was saying you need to get to Paris in the evening and take a bus to CDG.

Kerouac, she may not have a direct flight . . .

There are no amphibious buses, but there are no amphibious cars, either, and somehow they manage to get there from England. There are ferries that take them, for one thing. I thought vehicles could drive through the Eurotunnel, also, but maybe they are taken on the train (cars).

Eurolines bus goes from London to CDG, I'd suggest you take that, around 25 GBP. YOu can go at 8 am and get there 3:15 pm, stay in the Ibis at the airport. I don't think you have any other choice with them, as their night bus doesn't get to CDG until 7:15 am. http://www.eurolines.co.uk/destinations/france

Megabus is now in London with buses to Paris, this is a company that does a lot of longer bus routes in the US. Some franchise, I suppose, they don't have the greatest reputation where I live (Wash DC). But I don't think they go to CDG, only Porte Maillot, so I'd use Eurolines for convenience.

Oh ok I get it now. I will see if I can change my flights. I think it's the same route that is London, CDG and then South Africa.

justineparis Nov 12th, 2012 10:01 AM

Wow, even if its an extra couple of hundred, change your ticket, the price of the Eurostar and then a hotel night will more then make up for the savings..

Sethati79 Nov 13th, 2012 12:21 AM

Just checked, it's cheaper to get the Eurostar + hotel than to change my flight. Thanks guys for your help.

kerouac Nov 13th, 2012 05:18 AM

<<Kerouac, she may not have a direct flight . . .>>

That's why I have been trying to find out where she is actually flying to. If it is to Frankfurt or Rome or something to get the RSA flight, you don't need nearly as much check-in time. But people here are always talking about their final destination and not where the plane they are getting on is actually going! :-(
