MAD logistics question

I'm very excited to be heading to Spain for the first time in a few days. I will be traveling with my daughter and we will meet up in Madrid. She lands at 6:30am and I land at 10:00 am. It would be great if she could wait at the airport for me to arrive and then for us to travel together into the city. Is there a place she could comfortably wait prior to immigration? If not, once through immigration, is there somewhere she might wait? I know this is a strange question but I would greatly appreciate suggestions. Thanks!

I'd wait outside the secure area. I tend to find the choices for food etc better in most airports.

But she could wait at any of the food places airside.

Terminals T1, T2 and T3 - Aeropuerto Madrid-Barajas - Aena.es

Are you both landing at the same terminal?

If either/both of you have a smartphone download the Aena app. It helps with everything from collecting your checked luggage to gate information to flight status. Considering it's free you get a great value -)

It is such a short trip into the central city I sure wouldn't want to wait 3.5 hours at the airport. I'd meet at your hotel.

I am with Janisj on this one.
I would not ask nor want anyone to wait at the airport 3&1/2 hours, and getting into Madrid is easy.
OTOH, the hotel room is not likely to be available yet at that time of the morning, so that might not be an option either.

But (assuming they are staying at a hotel) the hotel will hold her luggage and she could walk around / get the lay of the land so to speak / stop in a cafe / relax. And there is always the chance the room will be ready.

The Madrid airport is HUGE...Terminal 4 alone is huge. I agree with the others about meeting at the hotel.
