Luxury hotel - Berlin, Munich - grand hyatt?

Hi - I'll be in Berlin and Munich for a couple days each and would like to stay in a nice hotel. it doesn't have to be the #1 type place - but i would like a modern hotel that has a gym in it.

I am thinking about the GRand Hyatt in Berlin. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks!

Hey asykes - I was in Munich last month and stayed at Le Meridien, 41 Bayerstrasse, across from the main train station. Very nice, very, very quiet. Concierge was wonderful. I don't think you'd call it true "luxury" but they call it a 5 star. I'd say certainly a 4-1/2 star. I was upgraded (belong to Moments club) to a very large room. Rooms have marble baths, plasma TV. Service was excellent. I paid 125 € per night for two people.

The Grand Hyatt in Berlin is an excellent choice and fits your requirements (nice gym and very modern.) I stayed there a year and a half ago and I'm going to stay there again next weekend. It's a great hotel.

There is a new luxury hotel in Munich, the Dorint (Sofitel) Bayerhof. It has a gym. The company I work with just held a seminar there and gave it good marks.

Sorry, it's Bayerpost, not Bayerhof.

PS: The Dorint Sofitel, as BTilke suggests, is directly across from Le Meridien. Have heard very good things about it.
