luxembourg gardens
can someone tell me where are the entrances to the gardens? is there a map online? thanks
There are entrances on all sides of Jardin du Luxembourg. It's a public park with no fees. You can find it in any Paris map.
If you enter on the Rue Vaugirard side, there is a great photography exhibit on the fence all the way down the street!
On rue de Vaugirard and rue Servandoni you will see a crosswalk that leads to No 19 on the left side of rue de Vaugirard for the Musée du Luxembourg - to the right of the museum entrance is an entrance to the Jardin du Luxembourg. There's an entrance in the vicinity of the RER station, where rue de Medicis, rue Soufflot and blvd St Michel meet. I think another one might be at rue de Fleuris and rue Guynemer, and then there should be one where ave Observatoire joins the Jardins.

There is, however, a fee for kids to play on the playground...it is intersting that my kids could go to the Louvre for free, but had to pay to play on the playground equipment.
I easily found my way there on foot, using a free map my hotel gave. One of my favorite spots in the city! It's a fairly large place, we entered and exited on opposite sides.
A wonderful place! Try to go on a Sunday morning when the Parisians are there with their families.
