Lunch on road to Normandy

Hello! We arrive at CDG this week in the morning and pick up our car to head to Honfleur. I was hoping someone could recommend somewhere to eat along the way? Preferably about 1/2 way along the trip. Looking for something not too expensive, not fast food, French preferred (like a bistro) and relatively quick. Thank you so much!

You might be surprised at how well you can eat at the rest stops along the autoroute.

I forgot to add, we will have 2 kids as well!

Okay, that is what I was wondering. When we have done tours through Germany, Italy, and Greece, our busses have stopped at the roadside stops and have been perfectly fine. Those will be along this route as well? The only thing that has popped up is McDonalds. :\

Thanks.

You will find numerous eating establishments at the autoroute rest stops. Some of them are cafeterias, some of them are real restaurants. And every service station has an astounding selection of sandwiches, salads, tarts, etc.

I'll agree that you'll be perfectly happy with the restaurants and other food options on the autoroutes.

It depends on what route you are taking, but you really don't need to get this granular in your planning. If you're on the autoroute, stop at an aire. If you're not, stop somewhere that looks interesting and has a few café options. It's just lunch. McDonald's does not have to be an option.
