luggage weight scale
I'm aware there is luggage available that has a scale in the handle to weigh luggage. I don't want to buy new luggage -- does anyone know if there is a small scale you can attach to existing luggage?
Thanks |
Yes - any luggage/travel shop, or on-line travel merchant should carry them. A few different brands from less than $5 to over $20 - but you should have not problem finding one.

Oh - to make that last link work - click on it and then paste the >> ?&Product_ID=5553&DID=19 << bit into the url (fodor's programming is soooo frustrating sometimes)

I weigh my suitcase -fully packed- on the bathroom scale before I leave, which gives me a ballpark enough for my purposes.

The problem might be on the return flight - I know my suitcase often weighs more coming home from a trip. I don't bother w/ a scale myself since I travel really light. But I have two scales that I "show and tell" in my packing presentations. If one is on a really strict airline (like some of budget carriers in Europe) some folks will benefit from having a small scale along.

Yup, I realized after I posted we might be talking here a leg on a budget-euro airlines with strict limits.

I have one. It's not as light as I would like it to be and it's a bit bulky as I try to do carry-on only. Of course, with all the new air travel restrictions, I may just have to check a small bag for a two-week trip.

Thanks for the useful info.

We bought one but decided that it was too heavy to take with us.
