Luggage Storage Train Stations

I am planning to stop in Rouen en route to Normandy to see the city but I will have my wheeled luggage with me. Does anyone know if there is good luggage storage at the Rouen train station?

I'm in the same predicament at the Pontorson station, where I am hoping to leave my luggage in order to spend the day at Mt. St. Michel (I am staying that night in St. Malo).

Does anyone know about the luggage locker situation in Rouen and Pontorson?

Thanks!

I was told at the train station in Mulhouse,France earlier this month that there was to be no luggage storage at any train station in France due to new security measures. Now, whether this particular station employee was correct or not I don't know; however, I do know we had to tote our luggage to the Automobile Museum (where there were lockers, thank goodness!)

France is probably the worst country in Europe for left luggage. In the last few years, only a very few big stations with manned offices and scanners have offered luggage storage. This rule is imposed by the police, so the same applies at bus stations, tourist offices, etc.
