Luggage storage @ Rome airport?

Flying into FCO and then travelling to Sorrento for a few days before returning to Rome.
Is it possible to store the majority of our bags at the airport so we can travel lighter on our detour to Sorrento? Isit secure?

Hello, 2idocs, a few months ago a Fodorite asked this question and I posted that the last I knew from 2 years ago one can store their luggage downstairs at the luggage office. Another Fodorite responded that is still true. In that you will use their luggage storage office it should be very secure. Have a wonderful trip!

Sounds perfect.
Anyone know the cost/details?

Our other option would be trying to store our luggage at the at the hotel we'll end up at (Hotel Bernini Bristol).

Not sure if they'd be willing to store our bags for 3 days and whether it's more efficient to travel from the airport>Sorrento>back to airport or to detour to the hotel before heading for Sorrento so we don't have to return to the airport later.

How will you travel to Sorrento? If by train, then another more convenient option would be to check your luggage at Roma Termini, the main train station in the center of Rome where you will have to change trains on your way from FCO to Sorrento.

Here's the Roma Termini Left Luggage info:

You can leave your bags in the FCO aiport if you're headed back that way. The "Left Luggage" is downstairs in the T3 arrivals area, very close to the bus depot. You might read this post for a map that shows the location and also the daily rates:

Or you could do Roma Termini Station as recommended. Its "Left Luggage" is on the lower level beneath the car rental counters over by Track 24. These two links have info on the Roma Termini counter and the second, Left Luggage facilities in Italy:

Hi

We stored our luggage at the Termini when we visited Positano. This allowed us to take a couple of overnight bags. Much more convenient. You could ask the hotel you're staying at on your return to store your luggage. Worth a try. This would certainly save a few dollars. Needless to say do not leave any valuables behind.
