Luggage Storage in Lucca?
 

Does anyone have any information about whether or not there is any luggage storage either in a room or lockers at the Lucca train station? We are traveling from Sestri Levante to Venice and would like to visit Lucca on the way. Thank you!

I have a vague recollection of lockers at the train station in Lucca, but I'm not 100% sure. Hopefully, you'll get an answer from someone who has used them.

I was there a few years back and there were storage lockers at the train station. It should only be a few Euros.

All the self-serve lockers in Italy were closed post 9-11.
Only the manned luggage storage areas are open.
Unless something has changed in the last few months I wouldn't count on the lockers:(. Regards, Walter

Erube - If there are no lockers, don't despair!

Very often the station cafe/bar will provide this service for a small fee. Some don't even charge - but I always leave a tip anyway for this service.

If not, ask at the ticket office or speak to the Capo Stazione.

There is usually a solution at hand. Just ask.
