Luggage on Spain's trains

Do any policies exist regarding luggage on Spain's trains (weight, number of pieces per person, etc.)?

As much as you can carry and handle by yourself . . . . . .

Thanks so much janisj. I really appreciate your very quick reply!

Ditto.

But the storage space above one's seat and at the end of each car is somewhat small and fills up quickly, so you'll know...

The new AVEs and AVANTs have more ample overhead storage than older trains. I noticed this on our last Tues. AVE and AVANT rides to/from Segovia.

Thanks Maribel. One of the trains were taking is the ALTARIA. Is this an older train?
