Are there luggage lockers in the Avignon Centre & the Aix-en Provence train stations?

The problem, of course, is that while there are lockers at Avignon Central, you can't necessarily count on actually getting one. They may all be full.

What is your backup plan?

Thank you, kerouac, for the list of stations. This is exactly what I needed to know. It looks like we won't be able to stop in Aix-en-Provence - no luggage lockers available. But a quick stop in Avignon might be possible.

We will be arriving at the Avignon TGV station from Brussels, and then heading to Nimes from the Avignon Centre station.

How difficult is it to get from one station to the other? There will be 3 adults travelling, with luggage. Is there a shuttle bus, or should we expect to take a taxi?

Ackislander - If we can't find available luggage lockers, we'll probably just look for a hotel and ask them to keep our luggage in their luggage closet (for a fee, if required). This happened to us once in Clervaux, Luxembourg (the train station master decided to go home early for the day and was locking up the station) and we asked at a local hotel and they were gracious enough to watch our luggage for free.

There is a shuttle bus awaiting all trains arriving at Avignon-TGV, which goes to Avignon-Centre, which is directly across from the wall of the old city. I think it costs one or two euros.

In major cities, many cafés and hotels across from the stations have left luggage services for a fee.

Thanks, kerouac! The shuttle bus info is very helpful.

Have a nice evening.
