Luggage Lockers
 

We have several large bags and want to see
London before we take a train to Newcastle.
We'll be taking the Gatwick Express into London, I think it's Victoria Station where we get off. Are there lockers for large bags there and are they safe?

Thanks for any suggestions or ideas.

Sorry to say, it would surprise me if there are any places one can leave unattended luggage anymore--note the French trains that have closed off the end-of-car luggage racks-- There is such fear and mistrust of what might be in the baggage that the question on peoples' minds is not whether the bags will be safe but rather will they be safe from the bags. It is a sad state of affairs in which we find our civilization right now....

I cannot say for sure, but I imagine there is a left luggage service at Victoria similar to the one at Waterloo. Be warned that it is not inexpensive as they charge per bag per hour.
