Luggage locker at Appenzell

Do anyone know how big are the luggage lockers at the Appenzell train station? We intend to lock our luggages there before going up to Berggasthaus Ascher. Thanks

Looks like it is a manned luggage facility so the size of your bags is probably irrelevant.

I would not be so sure of what Dukey says - it could be only lockers- Dukey how do you think that?

I say this because checking for Luzern and Zurich and Geneva- big stations they say they have Baggage - then hours
+ Left Luggage Office (manned facility) - then hour

Appenzell just has Baggage - which could well mean only lockers?

why do you think it has no lockers - it seems maybe it only has lockers?

Most Swiss train stations have various sizes of luggage lockers - some really big - there is a phone number on the link I gave and Swiss personnel should speak English IMO to be sure.

IME, the sbb website usually lists lockers on the page to which PalenQ directed you, under the "equipment" tab. There does not seem to be any listing of lockers for the Appenzell station, just a listing for the manned baggage desk. Of course that doesn't mean they're would not be any lockers -- but I would not count on them. The hours listed on the page to which PalenQ directed you is on the "services" page, and IME, generally refers quite specifically to manned baggage services. I could be wrong....

Thanks everybody. Maybe I should call up before going to Appenzell.

Well there is a baggage check or lockers or both there for sure. You could check St Galen - a larger station too that I believe you must go thru to get to Appenzell and leave bags there if large enough lockers.
