Lucerne Train Station
Has anyone been to the Lucerne train station and can you make a recommendation as to an obvious and central place to meet fellow travelers who are coming in from other locales? (Within the Station or nearby)
Thanks!
|
Deb: The Bahnhofbuffet Luzern itself within the station! It's called "D'Beiz". Very casual place overlooking the tracks. You can meet there and have just a drink or so, while waiting for your fellow travellers.
I think, there is a second place next to it called "Premier", but that would be more expensive and rather for having meals.
All larger train stations in Switzerland do have "Buffets". Some are nicer than others. Larger train stations have different restaurants of different price level. Overall, the best meeting place, in case one party should be late.

Ursula's suggestion is good. If you'd rather not situate yourself there, another alternative is in front of the very large Chagall (inspired?) stained glass wall with the large Gubelin clock in the middle of it. You can't miss it!

The girl in the red dress will be near the smoking dog. She has the package and will leave it with the blind mouse at the cubby. Please let us know when you have received the package and what the next steps are.

Ursula, Shannon and Boris,

You have all been very helpful (and entertaining). Though I have one question: Is the dog smoking as in smoldering or smoking himself as in an old Humphrey Boghart movie? I have only just discovered this chat room and to be honest, the entire concept of chatting, and I am continually amazed at the weatlth of info out there and even more at willingness of everyone to share. Thanks so much! I will be back in touch once I have discovered what is inside the package.
Deb from the Great Salt Lake Lake
