LTU Airlines to Germany

Has anyone used this airline and how did you like it?

SeaUrchin Feb 8th, 2007 10:00 AM

I have and I liked it. Good service & food and it got me to Germany alive.

I heard they give one free welcome (alcoholic) drink.

and the passengers applaud upon landing

, they feel relieved to be still alive. :D Seriously, not a bad airline. Used them twice Muc to Cancun. Late night check-in was available, food was o.k. and space as well. I have got their frequent flier card. 8 times to Cancun gets you one time to Vancouver for free :-).

Düsseldorf-based LTU started some 50 years ago as a carrier for tourists. Still, most of their destinations are popular vacation spots. But an increasing number of business people are using it.

Technical standards are top-notch. Service is like any other major European airline.

We used them 10 years ago for our first family trip to Europe. Back then they offered non-stop service from Phoenix to Dusseldorf. Sadly, they no longer service Phoenix or I'd certainly fly with them again.
