Louvre-Napoleon Apartments

A friend told me not to miss a new exhibit at the Louvre: Napoleon's Apartments. I couldn't find information on their website, has anyone seen it?

Thanks,

Jill

I've seen Napoleon's Apartments on a diagram of the Louvre. Seems like they are near the entrance you use if you have the Carte Musee.

However, I think I have also read that they are currently closed.

Anybody else have any info? I'll be in Paris in two weeks (!!!), and Napolean's Aparments are the only thing I want to see at the Louvre.

I was at the Louvre at the end of May on a Monday and the exhibit was closed, but I think it was just that day. The Egyptian Room was also closed.

We were in Paris last month and stumbled onto this exhibition. I can't remember where it was inside the museum but I'm sure one of the staff could direct you. It certainly was very impressive.

There is information about this on the Louvre web site, quite a bit, including a virtual tour. Perhaps you weren't looking at the real Louvre web site, which is www.louvre.fr. Also, you need to know that furniture, vases, objets d'art, etc., are typically located in decorative arts departments of museums.

I saw this exhibit in April and thought it was beautiful. It is on the Louvre guide and also the elevators have info to help direct you to the different exhibits.
