What's the best day of the week and time to go to the Louvre?

We'll be in Paris March 7-19. Thanks, as always, for your help!

Why did you post the same quesiton twice within 20 minutes? Just curious.

I'm having problems with Fodors forums and my initial post did not show up on my computer.

We like going in the late afternoon (prices go down around 4 p.m., too) and evening--fewer bodies to push through, easier to see things. The Egyptian galleries are particularly atmospheric at night.
