Lourmarin as a base for first time to Provence?

We're looking for a house or apartment nin or near a town with sufficient dining alternatives We just can't find that in St. Remy and I've looked at MANY websites. They're all 2 -5 miles outside of town and don't really want to drink wine and drive. There are several houses available in Lourmarin and I'm told they have a good choice of restaurants. Appreciate feedback from anyone who knows.

We spent an afternoon in Loumarin last spring. We wished we had more time. The village is charming, we had a difficult time choosing a restaurant for lunch (many choices) and it was very "walkable." Good location for day trips, although not as good as St Remy.

The best reataurant there is the Moulin de Lourmarin., then there's La Fenier and a few cafes for lighter fare. One of my fav shops for fragrance is there &quot;Cot&eacute; Bastide&quot;<BR> There is a chateau to visit and if literary declined, it's the last home of Camus and he is buried there.
