Loucas Hotel Santorini, any tips ?

Any recommendations for which rooms to ask for, we have booked two ,one for the kids and one for the adults. Should I request up the top or near the bottom ? Any thoughts on the restaurant there ?

No specific rooms I can recommend. If you are concerned about having to climb too many steps up and down every time you leave the hotel, you might want to be nearer the top. However if you plan to go to the pool, that's at the bottom. I would just think that you'd want two rooms which share a large terrace as some do, that way you'll have your own.

We had a very good meal at Aris, the restaurant there, with the exception that our filets were quite well done despite being ordered rare. We mentioned that to the server, who just strugged and disappeared. Our first course was a spaghetti with ham, green peppers, green olives, tomatoes, cheese, and cream that was sensational. And it is a beautiful setting. To be honest we weren't thrilled with our meals in Santorini --the other two dinners being at Archipelagos and Spinx. Both highly recommended. In fact I made a journal entry that our first dinner there at Aris was the best of the three.

Give yourself a treat and go for dinner in Oia at "1800" and/or "Oia's Cafe-Restaurant".

If I remember correctly, it's sometime in April that the bus schedule goes into it's busier timetable, but I'm not sure when. I'd say there's at least one bus per hour, if not two, starting mid-morning going to about 9PM. During High Season it's about every 1/2 hour until much later. You can also easily get a taxi to take you, and arrange with the driver to pick you up at a specified hour OR ask the manager of the restaruant to call one for you.
