Lots of questions! Paris to Brussels, and Paris to Rotterdam
So I just booked my trip to Paris where I will be taking 2 weeks of french and I figured to add some side trips. I´m panning to go for 2 days to Brussels for the salsa congress and 2 days to Rotterdam to visit (hopefully) a business school. Questions:
Taking a train from Paris to Brussels which is the stop in brussels? Zuid, or Zuid ABS on Thalys, and once I¨m there can I get around on subway ect?
same question for Rotterdam...
what is there to do in Brussels and Rotterdam? I never imagine I would consider those places they were not really on my radar but I love that they are now. Are they safe?? I will be traveling alone, female late twenties.
help and advice??

Zuid ABS actually means "Any Belgian Station" meaning that you can use that ticket to continue on the Belgian Railways to another city from Brussels Zuid. Since you're just going to Brussels, you will not need that. Hope that helps!

Brussels:
public transport:

Horta Museum:

Grande Place, chocolate, beer and chips.
Rotterdam:
Public transport map (all in Dutch, I'm afraid): http://www.ret.nl/?id=1516
What to see: http://us.holland.com/t/rotterdam
No reason why they shouldn't be as safe as anywhere else, subject to the usual warnings for big cities.
