Looking for travel friends!
 

Hello! I am a 25 year old american expecting to travel to france (paris) in march. looking to either meet some europeans who might want to act as a psuedo travel guide and/or help me with the language. I am not fluent by any stretch in french, but am progressing nicely! i can speak a good bit of spanish and a little german as well.

You might want to try lonely planet and their thorn bush message board. More likely to find a travel partner there than here.

If your plans don't fall into place for March, and you would be willing to consider the fall, see http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34463567 - - though Paris might not necessarily end up on the itinerary. Hopefully, some part of France will though.

Maybe if you participatre in some french language or French culture forums, you will gradually make friends with people in France whom you'd like to visit. I did that in Italy. I didn't join a forum to make friends, but over time, though private e-mails, it happened, and they became people whom I could travel around with or at least meet when in Italy.
