Looking for really CHEAP flights from Rome to Nice!?!?!

I need to find a fare from Rome to Nice under or around $100 in mid June (june 12th to be exact). Can anyone help me?

If you do not find a cheap plane, the journey from Rome to Nice in a berth in a 3 berth sleeper costs 110 euros, and of course you save ahotel bll. Board train about 2245, leave 2315, reach Ventimiglia 0853, transfer to bus, reach Nice 1040. From April the sleeper will go through to Nice.

Ive been trying to find cheap flights from Prague to Frankfurt in February and stumbled across travel360.co.uk This site lists all the cheap airlines and their destinations, however you may find that you need to take two flights to get where you want. Good luck!

The airlines serving Nice from FCO are:

Air Littoral
www.airlittoral.com

Air One
www.air-one.it

Alitalia
and Air France

Hope this helps ...

I'd go with what Ben says.

also, did you know Menton (near Nice) is the halfway point b'w Paris and Rome? nifty.

Try www.flybudget.com. Where it says (in green) Find your Budget airline here, click on Europe. Follow the prompts and it will give you a very long list of budget airlines that can get you from point a to z. Fares are often 10 Euros. Nothing direct from Rome to Nice, though (yet).

Cheers,
Jan

ok thanks for all the help! Does anyone know why theirs nothing direct from Rome to Nice? Both are large tourist destinations!

Anyone else?

Neither Rome nor Nice is a hub. There are many budget airlines in Europe now, and they all use the wheel and spoke method. If you are lucky enough to be going to a hub then it is easy. If not, then you take two flights. If they stack up nicely, then that is the way to go. It may still be cheaper and faster than the train.

FYI, good hubs are Venice, London, Bonn/Cologne, and Stuttgart. There are many others.

Here is another website.

Also, many fares for this summer have been released!

Jan

Check the websites I gave you. There are 4 airlines which fly Rome- Nice direct.

Steve,
I just checked Air one and they don't fly to Nice. Am I missing something?

Regardless, they have great connections throughout Italy and the islands and I have bookmarked both of those budget airline sites for future reference.

Thanks for the info.
Cheers,
Jan

Hi Jan,

On the FCO airport website it lists Rome-Nice as an Air Littoral/Air One codeshare. I guess it's just Air Littoral which operates the service - plus Alitalia & Air France.

Sorry - I should have double checked.

Steve
