Looking for Paris clothing shop, sounds like "cook-eye"
Greetings,
Last year my office hosted a student from Ireland to work a few weeks and experience the US. She had the most beautiful clothes and when we asked where she got them, she said it was a shop in or around Paris, the name sounding something like "Cook-eye". I don't know the correct spelling and obviously haven't been able to find it on the web. Does anyone know of a clothing store with a similar name? The clothes were trendy/young but very nice, peasant tops with lace/embroidery, similar to the I.N.C. line carried at Macy's in the USA.
Thank you!

My gf worked in Paris for a couple of years and mentioned that Kookai was EXTREMELY cheap compared to other coutries (they have them here in Oz, UK, Malaysia and Singapore). In fact, Kookai is very much akin to Bossini/Giordano in France. So buy as much as you can! Have fun shopping!

I've bought a couple things there, although it is a little n the young side. As said, it's a chain and they are around a lot -- I know of two, one in the shopping mall at the Montparnasse tower and another in St Germain around rue du Four.

Just so you'll be able to impress your friends, be aware that the word "kukai" in Hawaiian refers to the substance that emerges from the other end of a bird.
No editorial intended regarding the quality of goods purchased at Kookai. I guess.
