Once you've seen the castle, the bridge, etc., the art gallery at St. Mary's convent is worth visiting for its really beautiful religious art. It doesn't receive much discussion in the guide books, however.

Just got back from Prague yesterday.... did the usual stuff outlined above and can recommend them all.

In addition would recommend The Pinkas Synnagogue which you can see before the Jewish Cemetry. The most simple & moving monument to the haulacaust I have ever seen. The Synanagogue is completely bare. The walls are completely covered with the names and dates (of birth and last contact) of the known 80,000 Prague and Czech Jewry who died in Terezin and the extermination camps. The youngest person i found recorded was not yet 3.5 years old. It is truly terrible in its silence.

More off the beaten track and equally effective and making the hairs on the back of the neck stand on end is the church and crypt of St Cyril in Nove Mesto. This is where the Nazi's caught up with the Free Czech cammondos who had led the assasination attack on Heydrick. Its a an amazing story and the place is still littered with bullet holes... 700 infantry against 7 commandos. 5000 Czech's died in retaliation for the death of Hitler's number 2, including the entire village of Livovice which was wiped off the face of the earth quite literally.

This was my 3rd trip to Prague and I've been to Pinkas on avery occasion. !st time to St Cyril... but it is so easy to find new things to see and do in this most amazing city.

Have a great time... mail me if you need more info (restaurants, clubs, bars etc.)

Dominic
