Looking for l6 Place Vendome
 

I'm working with a Fodor's book with numerous maps of Paris in it, but am getting lost fast. In what general area can I find "Place Vendome", such as in relation to major sites. Thank you.

It's a few blocks southwest of the Opéra Garnier. Find the Pyramides stop on Métro line 14, and it's a 3-minute walk to the west.

as an alternative, do you have a listing of streets in Paris? Rue de Castiglione runs from Rue de Rivoli north in a straight line to Place Vendome.

Look for the Rue St-Honoré, which runs right along the Place Vendôme; it's a major landmark in the 1st.

But if you are just trying to pinpoint it on a less detailed map in your guide book -- locate the Tuileries. it is the park that runs between the Louvre and Champs Elysees. From the center of the Tuileries look opposite from the river side and Place Vendome will be about 2 blocks
