Looking for information on Clignancourt
 

From all the information I have seen, the Clignancourt market is open Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Does this mean that on the other days, there is nothing open at all??<BR>We arrive at noon on a Monday and leave on Friday morning, so won't be there over a weekend. I love antique markets and hate to miss this one. Any suggestions of other antique weekday markets in Paris??Thanks

Just a tip: My girlfriend and I went to Clingnancourt; great way to pass a somewhat rainy day last October. Before you get to the flea market "proper" you walk by a lot of stalls in a sort of outside ring; lots of interesting stuff but quite a crowd of people just hanging around. Hang onto your bags a little extra tightly as you walk through. There are so many buildings each with their own stalls and specialties, also a couple of cafes if you get hungry or just need a break.

Eat a good breakfast before you go or save late afternoon for lunch in Paris, there are only two 'bistros' on the rue de rosiers (main street)and the food, service, and prices are awful... not much in the way of good eating if you are looking to sit down after walking all day... there are a few panini and baguette sandwich stands for a fast bite.
