looking for hotel in Venice
Spending 3 nights in Venice. Anyone know a
good 3 star hotel centrally located? With so much to chose from, its difficult to decide.

Some friends and I were there in March. I stayed at La Serenissima which was very reasonable, very clean. I was pissed at them because they wouldn't let me bring my friends in to show them the room, but otherwise, it was nice enough.

On the other hand, they stayed at the Montecarlo which is very close to St Mark's. It is a Best Western property so you can call their 800 number and make the reservations in English, which can help if your Italian is rusty. They absolutely loved it and would stay there again next time. Have a great trip!

The Accademia in Dorsoduro is a wonderful hotel on a quiet canal that's close to the Accademia vaporetto stop and the Accademia bridge over to St. Marks. I highly recommend it. Don't know how expensive it is, but it's worth it.

Tri the Al Gambero. Nice place. New rooms. Good location. Good price.
