Looking for High-End, Luxe Boutique Hotel in Valencia

Looking for recs for a high-end, luxe boutique hotel in Valencia for three-four nights during the middle/end of April '06. Price no issue. Any suggestions?

We where just in Valencia to check out the hotels. There are no high-end boutique hotels in Valencia other than the 3-star Ad Hoc Monumental Hotel (http://innsofspain.com/hotelview.aspx?h=1353) and the Palau de Mar, a member of the Epoque Hotels, which has great beds, but was a little dissapointing.

The new 5-star Las Aranas Resort/Spa, which just opened on the 1st, is by far the most elegant hotel in the area and since the just opened, are offering some great rates. You will have to take a taxi to the old quarter from this hotel since it is located on the beach.

The other boutique hotels in the area are:
Ad Hoc Parque (http://innsofspain.com/hotelview.aspx?h=1362)

Mas de Canicatti (35 kms from Valencia) (http://innsofspain.com/hotelview.aspx?h=1259)

the ad hoc parque is too far out of the city unless you like golf ( which is across the street).

the canicatti is actually all about the views. didn't get to see a room when we went for a drink the other afternoon.

it does not have good access to the city. would take you at least 35 minutes with no traffic.

I like the AC chain, as far as sleek, modern rooms. www.ac-hotels.com.

However, your best bet i am sure is going to be the mentioned "Las Arenas" resort.

Hotel Neptuno, also near Las Arenas, is a remodeled beach hotel. The rooms are functional, but the restaurant is very good, and the top terrace views with whirlpool are nice.

shame to hear Palau de mar was not up to par. They certainly seemed to market themselves as top quality.

Thank you all for the suggestions -- very much appreciated! I'll poke around these and see what I come up with and will come back with any questions. - Michelle
