Bert<BR>I now have some photos of the hotel if you'd like a copy please send your email address to [email protected] and I can email them to you. As I said, we did get upgraded but the rooms we occasionally peered into when walking past (while the cleaner was working) looked pretty similar, just a little smaller and without the table and chairs area.

kavey, thanks for posting your impression of bologna. Sounded like bologna is a city where you can pretty much wander around and not get too bored....I was thinking of doing that since we were wondering if we can use it to recover from our jet lag...
What was the shopping like--food and clothing and accessories? Did you manage to wander by the University?

Bologna is a wonderful city for just wandering around. We found the shopping opportunities excellent--very good variety and choices and good prices that were lower than those in Rome, Florence and Venice.

Hi there
Neither of us are into fashion, nor shopping for that kind of item so we didn't really pay much heed but there seemed to be the normal complement of chic Italian couture stores.
We found it a wonderful city for wandering around in... and the eating was great!
Hope you have a good trip!
