I know that you asked about attractions, but you might also like to look at www.toptable.co.uk for restaurant offers. They allow you to book online and offers can include cheap set menus, free wine with your meal or up to 50% off food. It's a great way to make some good restaurants really affordable.

When you get to the airport check the little local tourist booth thats there. We purchased our tickets to madame toussads, the Tower, as well as tube tickets, etc. We were able to bypass the lines at attractions because we didn't have to wait to purchase tickets as well as save a few pounds. We also got some coupons there that we used in other places.

I love the idea and the website for toptable.
BUT! They don't have any offers past September and we'll be there in October.
So, is this just seasonal for the hot summer as are so many other offers? (hotels for example)

Not sure how long you will be in the UK for, but the Great British Heritage Pass is great. I got this for me and my sister and we got discounts off just about every historical attraction in England and Scotland (Kensington Palace, London Tower, Hampton Court Palace, Edinburgh Castle, etc).

No - TopTable offers deals year round. But individual offers are dated. Usually (not always) the specials are for the next 30 to 45 days so it is a bit early to have much listed for October.

Ditto Janis - I think that they restrict the dates so that they can guauge what's coming up in the near future. I suppose you don't want to discount everything if you could be full at top rates anyway. You can book most places on the day anyway (assuming availability) so you can leave it until the last minute most of the time....

Definitely get an issue of Time Out when you arrive. There's a page of great 2 for 1 offers as mentioned above. My companion and I were both flying out of Heathrow, same day, different times, and were able to use the 2 for 1 Heathrow Express coupon. Each ticket is good for 3 days. Saved 14 pounds.
