Looking for Books on Renting a Villa in Tuscany

I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the information on renting a villa in Tuscany, so I'm looking for a one-stop resource. Can anyone recommend a book on renting a villa in Tuscany? Five of us will be going in October and want to spend one week there (Lucca, maybe, though not definitely), taking day trips to Florence and Pisa. Thanks in advance for any info you can offer me!

If you want to pay 30% too much then go to the one-stop-shopping catalogs and web sites for the large agencies. If you want great advice and objective reviews of specific rentals from actual users, then go to slowtrav.com and spend 2 hours reading reviews and trip reports. Best source on the web.
Set your criteria first before you get more confused:
LOCATION--PRICE RANGE--BED TO BATH RATIO--LOCATION
It can all be confusing with so many options.

In addition to the suggestions here, I would like to add www.karenbrown.com. Also very reputable. I have used them for several stays.

Use karenbrown.com for a villa rental? that's news to me. I agree with the assertion that there is no book that can hold a candle to slowtrav.com

I have had good experiences with

www.rentvillas.com
www.domani-usa.com
www.regencyintapts.com

Best wishes,

Rex

Here's another vote for slowtrav.com -- it's simply the best for Italy. And you can post questions on slowtalk.com.

TUSCANY is absolutely spectacular! You and your friends MUST GO. Perfect time is mid May, end of May. Anyway, for your one stop shopping, go to
TOTUSCANY.COM (they're out of England). We used them last spring and they are the most professional and knowledgeable bunch of folks. Providing you with directions, restaurants suggestions, walking tours, market day schedule for each town and of course totuscany have great villas for rent.
I highly recommend the town of Castellina,(the name of the house is LACASETTA, has a pool too, it can get up to 80 degrees in May. Mostly mid 70s though. La Casetta accommodates up to 6 people. Castelina is perfectly situated from Siena, Florence, Luca, Pisa, Panzano, Radda etc. Plus they have the best gelato in Castellina that surely beats ROME's....We ate a lot of gelato.
We did our research extensively last year and you will absolutely not going to find a better recommendation.
Going back next year actually. GOOD LUCK ! PS....may I recommend minimum of 7 days in Tuscany, anything less would be a sin.

What a clot I am. I put the wrong web address on my last post.

It should be eurovillas.co.nz

Still good service.

I'm with Dita

Anything less than 7 days is doing no justice to the place.

Books? Are those the things they used to have before there was the internet?

I know ... I don't know what I was thinking asking for book recommendations. You all did the absolute right thing -- recommending terrific web sites instead. Thanks, all!
