Looking for best lodging for 4 in Oia for 1 night in late Oct.
My friends and I will be arriving by ferry (if it's running!) in late October for just one night's stay in Oia. At that time of year, a pool isn't important, but spectacular views and convenience are. We prefer to rent an apt. or cave house with 2BR. Some of the most recommended hotels on this forum are slightly outside the town. Given the low season, I would think that noise would not be a problem and perhaps being in the town center would be better. Advice?
Right now the rates I've found range from 170 euros at Delfini to 355 at Residence Suites. We're willing to pay for someplace really special. It's hard to tell how large the units are from the websites and most travel reports are from parties of 2.
Any recommendations would be appreciated!

I did look at this property based on one of your previous posts. The Atmospherico Suite is the one that would accommodate 4. I don't remember exactly where Aspaki is located. Do you know? Another leading contender is Atrina Traditional Houses (their Canova 1984).

The Aspaki is located in the center of Oia very close to the main square. If you're standing in the square looking out at the view you can see it on the promontory in front of you on the right. You will only have to navigate a few steps to get to the Atmospherico.

Brotherleelove2004: your recommendations for Aspaki are very persuasive! They have availability but some of my travel-mates are more concerned about budget than I am. The jury is still out.
Delfini offers a cave house (I think it's a block or two from their rooms) for 170 euros (vs. 370 at Aspaki). I'm not sure if we would have access to the terrace with the hotel or not. Do you recall any info about Delfinis apartments/cave houses from your experience? Thank you!!!!!
Anyone else?

If you stay at Delfini, you should have your own terrace. We stayed in an Apartment and had a HUGE terrace-it was wonderful. We had friends who stayed in a regular room and even had a small terrace. We had other friends who stayed just below us in a cave suite (I think that's what it was, just one bedroom) and they had a nice balcony too (smaller than ours, but bigger than the room balconies). We were really happy with the Delfini.
