Go to slowtrav.com for lot's of rental and Italy info. There is also a very active message board with experienced travelers and villa/apt. renters.

We used the Bed and Breakfast Association of Rome (http://www.b-b.rm.it/) and were thrilled.

The woman who helped us was absolutely lovely, and very helpful. We stayed at a cute little 1 room apartment JUST off Campo de Fiori and couldn't have been happier.

The location was fabulous; the square itself is wonderful, it's walking distance to several important sights, and it's just a lovely neighborhood to walk around (and conveniently located near some antique shopping roads!).

It was great to have an apartment instead of a hotel. We felt like locals (or at least expats!), and it was fun to return to a home instead of a hotel, and very convenient to keep some food/snacks in the room.

Enjoy!

Try initaly.com. They do apartment and villa rentals.

Hi alina,
We used
www.barclayweb.com for our trip to Rome and Florence last year. They are very nice, and accomodating, they have all prices and sizes apts in all sections of the city.
Browse the site and see how you like it.

We had a very bad experience with barclayweb in Tuscany-- the rental people never showed up and we were completely stranded for two days. I don't recommend their service.
