Looking for an apartment in Rome. Help.
I posted this question before and I received two very good responses. I checked into their suggestions, but there wasn't much being offered. Has anyone on this forum rented an apartment in Rome that was super nice they would recommend? Thank you.

Longer-term apartments are offered by this agency:
http://www.roman-rentals.com/ I have no idea how reliable they are. Iowa State's Rome program has a link to this agency: http://www.lamagiainstitute.com/Page...Apartments.htm The fact that it doesn't seem to have been updated since 2008 does not inspire confidence. If you understand Italian, you can look at www.casa.it to see what's on offer at what prices through real-estate agencies. |
I don't know where you have looked, but Sleep In Italy was recommended to us.
We didn't use the company, since our plans changed, but I remember seeing some interesting offerings. http://www.sleepinitaly.com/en/show-...on=show_result Good luck! Byrd |
Stayed here last May in the "penthouse" Pink apartment. Beautiful terrace and very nice rooms.

I have absolutely no experience with this agency, but recently had some agreeable correspondence with them, in which they indicated they specialize in longer-term rentals: http://www.shortletsassistance.com/
However, I also think you will find some valuable leads if you spend some additional time searching these forums and other sites for previous discussions of "apartment Rome." Even agencies that have been discussed in terms of short-term rentals may have access to apartments that owners are willing to let out for a longer term. |
I have used two different agencies...first was www.rentalinrome.com and I will NEVER use them again. I can't even begin to tell you how bad the apartment was without writing a book!
The second company I used was Rome Capital Apartments and I stayed in this apartment which came highly suggested by other fodorites http://www.romecapitalapartments.com...gli/Miguel-157 I do not have a single complaint about the apartment nor the agency! The views were amazing, the apartment was very clean and it was perfect for our two week honeymoon in Rome. |
I've used Sleep in Italy 3 times in Rome and have always been happy. The last time we rented an apartment near Via Guilia on Orbitelli.

For apartment and agency reviews also go to www.slowtrav.com. They also have a lot of FAQ stuff on renting apartments.

I, too, rented the Miguel apartment from Rome Capital Apartments and would highly recommend both the apartment and the agency.

Try cross-pollinate.com. I've read great reviews about them, and we've reserved two apartments with them for our October visit to Venice and Rome. We have found them to be easy to deal with, and they have a nice selection of VERY reasonably priced apartments in several cities. Certainly not luxury properties, but we found several very nice apartments as well as budget listings. Their "terms and conditions" are quite reasonable, and their cancellation policy is also reasonable.
I especially liked the ability to "chat live" when I had questions about certain apartments. |
Wondering if you wound up renting anything?
