Looking for a "Zone 1" London Hostel

Price isn't an issue. I just want something centrally located.

price isn't an issue? so 500 pounds a night or 50 pounds a night? either one? You HAVE to be a bit more specific...and what do you really consider central?

If you want useful responses, you should be a bit more specific.

The Cadogan, off Sloane Square

20+ bucks a night

I just answered your other thread - but NOT based on $20 per night. You will not find a hostel in London anywhere near that cheap. That is only about £11-£12. Not very realistic.

oops - hit post too soon. On your other thread you say you don't care about the price, want it close to the main tourist sites, safe and w/ a "feel" for london. At little more than £10 per night, I'd hate to think what sort of "feel" you'd get.

Try he Generator Hoistel in Kings Cross - it's about as cheap as you're going to get and is central.

OK - there IS the Generator. But the cheapest rates there, and actually w/i your budget, are 8 and 14-person dorm rooms. But singles, triples, quads and 6-person dorm rooms will be up around £20-£30 ($35-$50) per night.

The place is HUGE - If I remember right from checking it out for a friend a few years ago there are 700 or 800 beds. It is very lively - depending on your age/preferences that may be a good or a bad thing. It is near Kings Cross Station.
