The Barberini, the Mascagni, and the Exedra come to mind or any of the places on the Via Veneto itself, pricey as they are. The Excedra is one of the more traditional Boscolo hotels. All of the above are a fairly short walk from the Aleph; the Barberini would be the closest.

Not sure why your friends are not able to stay there with you, if it's booked or if it's the cost. If it's cost then pls list what price range is suitable.
If the hotel is booked, or even if it's not, you may want to ask your hotel if they have suggestions in this area.

It's the price. We got a rate of 199 Euro with Breakfast and tax included just last week. Now the rate is more than 325 Euro (without breakfast and taxes). Anywhere around 200 Euro and below should be fine.

Danimal: Did you get that rate through the Boscolo site, directly from the hotel itself, or through a discounter?
When I stayed at the Aleph two years ago I got the room through a discounter and am wondering if your friends might do the same?
