Looking for a Really, Really Good Map of Venice

I'm looking for a good map of Venice. I could probably buy one once I get there, but would prefer to buy one before I leave on my trip. Fodor's has what looks like a good pull out map in the back of their Pocket Guide to Venice. I'm looking for recommendations from others. I define a good map as one that shows all the named streets, regardless of length with the actual street name on the map and shows the major landmarks. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm a big fan of Streetwise maps. I have one for Venice (plus half a dozen maps for other cities). It lists all the street names (albeit how small). What I like most about Streetwise is the lamination and the size. It is water proof. Folds up easily and opens up easily. Much better than those flimsy paper maps (imagine trying to read a paper map when it's windy and raining).

I agree about the Streetwise maps. You can read the small print, they're tri-fold so you don't have a huge map to deal with and they can fit it into most purses. Also since they're laminated they're great to sit on when the only option is cold stone or marble - they keep the chill off.

I bought a Rough Guide map - seemed to have everything I needed. Slightly coated to make it waterproof.

I agree about the Rough Guide map, the coating helps protect it from rips and water damage. There is also a quick reference map inside the cover for central Venice.

I love my popout map. Rather small print but oh so handy.
