Looking for a place in Dublin!!!!!!

Hi,

We're desesperate looking for a hotel not too expensive in Dublin. Is there a good hotel with room rates less than 100 Euros per person and room?? I found no hotel!!! In the hostals variety I found the Avalon but is full.

Someone could help us? We'll travel at the beginning of August!

Go to www.hostelworld.com.

We are staying at Barnacles in Temple Bar for 3 nights in early August and have heard great things about it. Be warned it is known for a party atmosphere though!

I have been very remiss and forgetting 2 cheap and excellent/nice places for the summer in Dublin. Try trinity College which is the most central location http://www.tcd.ie/Accommodation/ very good prices and you may end up in the front square of the university which is lovely.

Also on Georges street this is new and looks nice. Its a lovely old building
http://www.graftonguesthouse.com/ Its called Graftpn Guest house on Georges street Doubles from 60 euro.

Have fun!

My husband and I stayed for a week at Cassidy's Hotel on O'Connell Street and enjoyed it very much. The buffet breakfast was great, and the hotel is very close to the central stops for most of the guided tours of Dublin.

Don't know what summer rates would be, but the Mercer Hotel in central Dublin was excellent for rates and accommodations in Oct.'04.

My recomendation without doubt is....Clara House in Rathmines.

Forgot to add that you can sometimes find good discounts on the www.visitdublin.com site. Look under accommodations for listings and the discount rates. Also wanted to add that the Mercer Hotel booking that I mentioned earlier includes breakfast.
Good luck, and have a wonderful trip.

Google Ariel House in Ballsbridge. We stayed there last June. Can't remember exactly what we paid for 3 adults, 2 beds, and bath. Breakfast included. We walked into the city (about a mile) because it was a nice day. Public transportation is available. We took a taxi back at night just because we were tired after a full day. Anyway, we aren't at all big spenders. It might suit your needs. Good luck!

The Mt. Herbert Hotel in Ballsbridge is just a block from the light rail and it very quiet and clean. Lots of rooms so it should have a room. Good luck. I am sure it is not too expensive.

Try Jury's Inn Christchurch. It might meet your price criteria and it's in a great location.

We just spent 2 nights at the Kilronan House, walking distance to St. Stephen's Green, Temple Bar, Grafton St. They served a lovely breakfast, more choices than just hte traditional Irish breakfast. We paid 68-78 euro per person, as one of the nights was a Sat.
