Looking for a hotel in Florence

We will be traveling with our kids (ages 13 and 9) to Florence and are looking for an economical hotel,in the heart of of the city that will accomodate a family of 4. Any advice will be appreciated.

Hi ed,

You might want to try the B&B Peterson.

They have 2 rooms with a shared bath for about 52E per room.

My husband and I just returned from Florence earlier this month. We stayed at Hotel Cestelli. Perfect location, just one half block from Pont Vecchio. The price was an amazing 80 Euro. I know that they have a family suite as well. Our room was very large and clean. Its more like a B&B without the breakfast. Keep in mind this is affordable lodging in the heart of Florence, so there are no big fluffy towels. Everything is pretty basic, but for our use, totally acceptable. Also...Don't settle for mediocre gelato on the "tourist" drag. Finding Vivoli by San Croce is well worth the search! Have a wonderful time. Here is Hotel Cestelli's website: http://www.hotelcestelli.it/

ed+deb - You might want to also take a peek at Hotel Dali. Great prices, location, reviews, and free parking too.

My family of 5 are staying there in October.
