Looking for a guide in Paris
Four adults have one day in Paris before heading South for a barge cruise. I've been to Paris many times, but think with a group it would be very handy to have a guide show us around and thereby seeing a whole lot more in our limited time. Are there any suggestions for guides anyone here has used and liked? And about how much would one expect to pay for several hours...

I´ll do it for free.

There are several professional guide services in Paris. You can check with any or all of the following. Their rates are listed:

Michael Osman with no reservations that you and your family will LOVE him. And he will not break the bank--you will want to engage him for an entire day. He will design whatever tour you want--city sights, museums (he is an artist and his insight into museums is wonderful).
try [email protected] or google for his website. |
I second the recommendation for Michael Osman! We used him a few years ago and he was marvelous.

There are many, many great tour guides in Paris. You can google "paris tour guides" and get dozens of results but I imagine you are looking for recommendations. I'll give you the names of a few people I know that do private tours in Paris. Though I've never done tours with them I've met them and am sure they would give you an excellent tour:
