Looking for a Catholic church that is open in Amsterdam on Christmas Day
We will arrive in Amsterdam on Christmas morning and the first thing I'd like to do upon our arrival is to attend mass with my family. I've checked the internet, but I havent been able to find any catholic churches in Amsterdam that are open on Christmas Day - all the services seem to take place on Christmas eve.
Has anyone here attended a Christmas day service in Amsterdam before? A Catholic church would be my first choice, but would be happy attending a service at any Christian church.
Thanks in advance.

De Krijtberg or Church of St. Francis Xavier, in the very city centre, is a catholic church.
The followiing is from their website:
Sunday Masses at St Francis Xavier,
a.k.a. De Krijtberg, at Singel 446:
9.30 High Mass with Latin Hymns,
11.00 High Mass Gregorian chant (with child care facilities)
12.30 Mass in Dutch
17.15 Mass in Dutch ( = the only Sunday evening Mass in town)
Special services mentioned in their calendar are on Christmas Eve at 20.00 – 22.15 – 24.00 hr. No special mention for Christmas Day. This being on a Sunday I suppose the usual Sunday masses will apply.

In Western Europe Christmas Eve is the the time Christmas is celebrated. The tradition is the birth of the Christ Child coming at Midnight. That is why you are seeing all the Masses on Christmas Eve.

After enquiring on this forum and also digging internet, I think we may have found our Christmas celebration mass upon our arrival in Holland! The name of the church is VREDESKERK located in Amsterdam. I'm not fluent (or even remotely fluent) in Dutch, but from what I can glean from the church's website, their Christmas day mass will feature musical offerings by Mozart and the mass will be in Latin. Here's the description of their Christmas day service ...
"25 dec. 10.30: Latijn
Hoogmis van Kerstmis. Het Salve Regina koor zingt de Pastoralmesse van Mozart (KV 140) en kerstliederen. Een kwartier voor aanvang samenzang"
