The Locanda Rosati is very nice. Half board is recommended here. The guests gather at one table in the evening for a great meal. We spent only one night there and wished we had stayed longer.

My webpage about staying there:

To finish this thread, my wife Cyndy and I stayed at Le Case Gialle in mid June for four days and it was wonderful. The apartment and surroundings, pool included, are first class. Mauro brought an International Herald Tribune and a loaf of fresh bread to our door at 7:30 am each morning. Heavenly! The pool has a gorgeous view. The apartment is fully equipped and we were greeted with a nice bottle of local Umbrian wine at arrival. In short, Mauro and Silvana run a first class operation and care about your experience.
Le Case Gialle is a great place to stay if you want to explore Umbria. In the event that you are wondering, we paid 90 euro per day. We visited large hill towns (Orvieto and Perugia_ and smaller ones such as Spello, Montefalco and Bevagna. In the end Bevagna was our favorite though our best meal was dinner at the Corcorone in Montefalco.
I hope others head to beautiful Umbria and give Le Case Gialle a try.
Thanks to all who helped us.

Anabelle2,
We were in the single apt farthest from the pool.
Thanks for your help.
If visiting Umbria, I can't imagine being anywhere else.
Best,

Tuscanson, we had two apts and one was the one under the portico right across from 'your' apt.

We became friends with the couple who were staying in the apt. you had; they became part of my birthday celebration, and are meeting all of us at a get-together in Canada this July. I guess Le Case Gialle is a good place to make bonds!

Can't wait to return some day...
